Foot Prints…..

footprints on the sand

“Some people come into our lives and easily go, some stay for a while and leave foot prints in our hearts, We are never the same”…. I saw this sentence long time back from a magazine and it has stayed in my heart all these years.

This sentence has so much truth in it. When we move along in life we meet new people and interact with new people almost every day.  Some of them remain as strangers while others stay with us for some time, and very rarely we meet a person who stays with us forever. When I mean “stay” I do not mean physically.  It could just be a memory that stays with you forever.

These memories could be of something that person has said or done to you. It could be bad or it could be good. It could be love or hate…….whatever it is, it takes you through life….

Have you ever met a person who has changed your life forever? Have you ever met a person who kept you wondering about life? Have you ever met a person who has given you another meaning to live?

People may not remember exactly what you did, or what you said, …but they will always remember how you made them feel.

Children outside Ihavandhoo School

Children outside Ihavandhoo School

These days I have been traveling around from one island to another and this is keepind me away from my blog. But let me share my expereince of the past two weeks.

I spent 4 days in Ha. Ihavandhoo. I found Ihavdhoo people very nice and very friendly. The short meeting with the Ihavandhoo police revealed that they do not face much problem in the island, and the teachers and the Prinicipal mentioned that the students are very well behaved and concentrate on their studies.

My next visit was to Ha. Baarah. The main reason why I visited that island was to meet Ramla, the one and only Miss Maldives. I had a very interesting conversation with her and I would write about it in detail once I finish my travelling.

We had a good time in Baarah. We walked on Kamanaa Magu upto  ”Kamanaa Olhu”. It seems that Mohamed Thakurufaanu walked all the way with Rehendhi on his shoulder. It was a long way to walk. We walked up “Mount Baarah” and watched the sunset.

But Baarah has a lot of social issues, specially among the school going children and they need a professional counceller at school immedietly.
